Support Our Work
Emmaus Center has a Psychotherapy and Accompaniment Service that offers therapy, counseling, spiritual direction, and psycho-spiritual accompaniment to priests and seminarians, formators and formands, sisters, novices, postulants, and aspirants to religious life, and lay persons.
Oftentimes, the clients who come to us needing accompaniment, psychotherapy or counseling must also go through an extensive assessment process to evaluate their needs and concerns, their strengths and resources, their areas for growth and change. Many deal with childhood traumatic experiences and family of origin challenges when they come for their regular weekly sessions with our therapists and counselors. They also struggle with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, relational concerns with their superiors and co-community members. Their process of self-awareness, understanding and acceptance can take some time and financial resources of their religious communities are not always adequate to meet their assessment and accompaniment needs.
We appeal to your generosity and kindness, dear Reader. We aspire to always attend to the needs of clients who come to us in distress; we try our best to give them the assistance and support they need. A donation of any amount will help respond to the assessment and accompaniment needs of our clients. You may specify your beneficiary, that is, if you’d like to support a seminarian or a religious sister, a diocesan priest or young aspirant to religious life. You may let us know if you’d like to support the assessment process or provide support for some sessions of counseling or spiritual direction.
We invite you to consider this request. If you need more information or details as to how to make a donation via bank deposit, please contact Dr. Inge del Rosario, PsyA, Coordinator of the Accompaniment and Psychotherapy Service or Ms. Paz H. Baquiran, Coordinator of Programs and Office Manager at:
